For your comfort, all our vehicles have electric front windows, power steering, a radio-CD player controlled from the steering wheel and central locking. Most models have A/C and a cruise control system.

Safety is essential and for Renault it is a permanent priority. Renault is today the only car manufacturer that has 11 vehicles that attained a 5-star rating in the Euro Ncap crash tests. This is why all our vehicles have double airbags* ABS, an emergency braking system*, ignition cut-off system, and automatic window and door locking*.

MULTI-RISK INSURANCE
Multi-risk insurance with no excess to pay

The Renault Eurodrive contract gives you, at no extra cost, multi-risk insurance cover with no excess, that covers you if your vehicle is immobilized and ensures you will be able to continue travelling.

This Renault Eurodrive service is provided by Renault Assistance, and is limited to a certain number of countries. You can also choose to take out an additional insurance policy to cover your personal belongings.


Additional Insurance

When you order your vehicle from you local Renault Eurodrive agent, remember to ask about our additional personal belongings insurance. It can also be taken out with the GRAS SAVOYE insurance company the day your vehicle is delivered to the DVSE in Paris.

Exclusions

  • The Renault Eurodrive contract does not cover:
  • Flat tyres
  • Running out of fuel
  • Wrong choice of fuel
  • Mechanical problems linked to misuse of the vehicle
  • Fines or tickets
  • Vehicle overhauling expenses
  • Telephone, restaurant, fuel or toll etc. expenses.

Luggage and personal belongings carried in the vehicle are only covered if you have taken out the optional additional insurance.


Extending your stay:

During your stay, you may extend your contract (within the legal limits) by contacting the Special Export Sales Department (DVSE) at least one week before your contract is due to expire. A new insurance certificate will be sent to an address of your choice.

With Renault Eurodrive, you have personalized roadside assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in 44 European countries. It is supported by the 17 000 sales and repair centres in the Renault network.

During the entire length of your Renault Eurodrive contract, you have multi-risk insurance with no excess and roadside assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week managed by Renault Eurodrive Assistance. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Can my wife drive the vehicle?

    Your wife, your children and your parents can drive the vehicle at no extra charge if they are at least 18 years old, have a valid driver's license for the countries in which they drive, and if they comply with the same tax-free regulations as you do. NB: Partners can also drive the vehicle if your relationship has been officially recognized or if they sign an official sworn statement.

  • Does the insurance cover my luggage?

    No. But you can sign up for a personal belongings insurance when you place your order with your Renault Eurodrive representative.

  • What documents will I need to collect my car?

    You will need to have the following on you - your Renault Eurodrive contract - an international driver's license - a valid passport. If you have asked someone else to collect the vehicle, make sure you give this person written authorization.

  • Can I pay a supplement to be insured in countries other than those you cover?

    No. Unfortunately no geographical extension to the insurance contract is possible.

  • What happens if I decide to go anyway?

    If you decide to visit a country not covered by our insurance/assistance you are fully liable and must pay all expenses resulting from a breakdown or other problem.

  • Can I return the vehicle to another centre than the one initially planned?

    Yes, absolutely. You must simply contact the centre of your choice at least 72 hours in advance to make an appointment to get the phone number and opening hours of the centre along with a map).

  • Can I choose the colour of my car?

    Unfortunately, we cannot promise to provide a particular colour. However, Renault tries to make sure its vehicles are in the most popular colours of the day.

  • In winter, do vehicles come with snow tyres?

    No. Our vehicles have all-weather tyres all year round.

  • What documents do I need to cross borders in Europe?

    The documents you are given when you take deliver of your car - the vehicle registration document (grey card), car insurance and Warranty booklet and your identity papers (Passport, international driver's licence) suffice to cross European borders. However, you may need to purchase a special disc to travel in certain countries.

  • I smoke cigars. Is it a problem?

    You are free to smoke in the vehicle as long as no damage is done (seats burnt, stains, etc.).

  • Is it possible to have the vehicle delivered or picked up at the end of the contract?

    We unfortunately can only deliver vehicles to Renault Eurodrive delivery centres. French legislation prevents us from driving your vehicle.
